We Are Not Your Soldiers – More Relevant Than Ever

We Are Not Your Soldiers – More Relevant Than Ever

We Are Not Your Soldiers looks forward to engaging in dialogue with many students in their classes and organizations during the fall and spring academic semesters of 2026/27. Scheduling is on now for class visits. Where possible we will be there in person but can always speak via remote technology as well.

At this moment in our country, these presentations and the discussions around them are more relevant than ever. The forever wars not only continue but accelerate with no end in sight. Horrific destruction and suffering is being unleashed in Iran, Lebanon, Gaza and the rest of Palestine along with piracy and further horrific actions in the Caribbean and Pacific. Treatment of the troops themselves has reached new lows. At the same time, conditions in this country worsen for much of the population, especially among those most liable to face an increased push for recruitment and the possibility of a renewed draft.

If you are an educator, please contact us and plan for a visit. If you are a student, get in touch and we can either visit your class or speak to your student organization. If you are a parent, let us know and we can work together to make a presentation possible. Everyone else — connect with the schools and educators in your communities, along with the students and parents you know. Put them in touch with us so we can organize presentations.

Anti-war veterans available to speak are John Burns, Ross Caputi, Joy Damiani, Rosa del Duca, Will Griffin, Chris “Henri” Henrikson, Miles Megaciph, Lyle Rubin, Brian Teucke, Shaniyat Turani-Chowdhury, Joe Urgo and Miguel Gabriel Vazquez.

A couple of comments received from educators during 2025/26:

A community college professor in NYC: “I want to thank you for speaking with my students. It’s so helpful and I am glad you are willing to do this work. I am sorry for the trauma you experienced and continue to experience. I am heartened that you have done so much to give back.”

A NC community college professor: “Your presentation today was truly spot on. You delivered a powerful and necessary message in a way that was both gentle and deeply compassionate, creating space for reflection without alienating your audience. What stood out most was your willingness to clearly and directly address U.S. foreign policy. You illuminated how these policies not only create harm abroad, often with devastating human consequences for innocent populations, but also carry serious implications for the well-being and moral integrity of our own nation. That is not an easy truth to communicate, and you did so with clarity, courage, and respect. Thank you for the meaningful work you are doing and for sharing it with our students.

A NYC high school teacher: “I deeply appreciate the work your speaker is doing. He is saving lives. His work speaking to students is heroic and vitally important. Thank you for your service!”

What Every Young Woman Should Know About the Military

What Every Young Woman Should Know About the Military

A Brochure for Young Women Thinking About Joining the Military | 2022

"When I joined, I knew that women in the military faced an uphill battle, but I didn't fully understand how serious the issues were and how reluctant leadership is to doing anything about it.

The truth is that there's a culture of harassment and assault that is incredibly harmful to all troops, but especially to gender minorities."
